INTERVIEW

Q1: How long have you lived in New York?


Ans: I was born in United State.

Q2: Where did you go to High school? What kind of student were you in High school? What were your favorite classes/least favorite? What sports and extracurricular activities did you do?


Ans: I went Lafayette High school. An honors society. I play H.S patel tennis.

Q3: Did you go to college? If so,where? For how long? What degree(s) did you earn? Are you interested in going back to school? If so, what do you plan to study?

Ans: I went to college. I get Master degree and education degree Supervision and Administration. Yea Learning never stop. If I some time I will go to school.

Q4: How did you choose your current occupation?


Ans: I always want to be a teacher. I love children's. I love to being able to give back and help young children.


Q5: What steps did you take to get this job? How did you learn about it? How many interviews did you have? Was the hiring process difficult, not difficult? If a person were looking for a job at your company ,what advice did you offer?

Ans: I have a Protofolio with best showing practices. They had to ask me several questions and I have to answer all of them.

Q6: How long have you worked here? Have you worked in different capacities at this job? What jobs at this company have you done in addition to the one you do now?

Ans: I been 30 years, special education teacher, staff developer, a literacy coach and curriculum specialist.

Q7: What is your job title and what are the three or responsibilities you do most often?

Ans: Supervising teachers, providing professional development to the teachers, planning and programming for the school.

Q8: Who is your direct supervisor and what is her/his job title? How much do you interact with her/him on a weekly basis? How many people do yo supervise?

Ans: Miss Sportella Principle of School. I interact with her everyday. We have very close working relationship. Must be 40 people I supervise.

Q9: What are two examples of challenges you face working here?

Ans: Making sure every children and teacher must be save and all children get possible education.

Q10: What is the best part of your job?

Ans: Children smiling face and happy learning.

Q11: What is something you would like to change about your job?

Ans: The long hours that I need to put in.


Q12:  Did you work somewhere else before this job? Where? For how long? How was that job similar or different?

Ans:  In Department for 30 years.

Q13: What do you see as your future at this company? If you plan on changing jobs, what will you do?

Ans: I am continue doing what I am doing. No changes.

Q14: What advice would you give to teenage interns ( such as myself) getting ready for college?

Ans: Study hard, learn from your teacher. Choose your friend wisely.

First Impression

Paragraph 1:


          1)  34th Street in Manhattan, jewelry stores, bars, street vendors
          2)      Internship is totally different than my expectations
          3)      Mentors phone to take pictures of the busy streets of Manhattan
          4)      Streets are freezing cold and people aren’t friendly when they walk down the sidewalk
          5)      Before my internship I had never been to 34th street in Manhattan
          6)      There are a million different shops there


Paragraph 2:

1)      IHSL is noisy and crowded
2)      The culture of my internship workplace is nothing like IHSL’s school environment
3)      The office of my internship is sea of calm
4)      The environment in which I work is really beautiful and peaceful
5)      Only a handful of people move around the office
6)      The office where I intern is actually someone’s personal apartment

Paragraph 3:

1)      Megan my supervisor, is a wonderful, professional, smart, talkative
2)      I first thought that I could not be any happier because that place is just amazing
3)      The office I work at is on such a high floor in the building and whole wall is a window
4)      I can stand there and see New Jersey and the Hudson river out the window
5)      It’s a huge apartment
6)      I like the bright colors and the way it is designed

My mentor name is Elen Lotz and the job title is “The Academy of Talented Scholars.

Q2) Describe six characteristics of your supervisor?

She is very nice, kind person, organized, helpful, calm and responsible.

Q3) Describe several details of the environment where you work?

I work with kids in class rooms. Small chairs and tables. There are different and interesting books in class. The room is very colorful and beautiful. There are different pictures, posters and art work that are hanged in class. There are almost 16 kids in class. They are very friendly.

Q4) who else do you see at your internship?

I see different grade kids, teachers and also my class fellows and friends.

Q5) what tasks have you completed at internship so far?

I helped kids in their work and organized their folders.

Q6)  what is your exact schedule so far and what time are you arriving home each day?

I get in The Academy of Talented Scholars at 12:27 PM and get out at 3:00 PM and I arriving home each day at 3:50.

Q7)  Share anything else you would like to share about your internship so far?

I like the teacher in class that I worked with. She is very nice, helpful and friendly.
